AVIATION PRACTICE

An active airline transport rated, GA, and airshow pilot, Mr. Thibodeau represents airmen, operations, certificate holders, and related entities in FAA enforcement proceedings, civil and criminal.  He is an approved participating AOPA “panel attorney”. 

 

A Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame Laureate, he is listed in Who's Who In Aviation and Aerospace; is a charter member of the Air and Space Law Forum; has served on the Executive Committee of the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum; is an AOPA “Hat in the Ring Society” member; and, is a Director of the Colorado Chapter of the Silver Wings Fraternity. 

 

From 2008 through December 2014, Mr. Thibodeau served as a member (Chairman, 2012 – 2014) of the Colorado Aeronautical Board, a gubernatorially-appointed, seven member body responsible for the promotion and development of aviation in the State of Colorado. 

 

In each of 8 years (during the period, 1996 through 2007) Mr. Thibodeau competed (1st Place, Silver Class, 2002; 1st Place, Bronze Class, 2004; 1st Place, Silver Class, 2007) in the National Championship Air Races (unlimited division) in Reno, Nevada. 

 

He holds a "Level 3" FAA Statement of Aerobatic Competency (Warbirds), and is a regular airshow performer.

 

In November, 2008, Mr. Thibodeau was inducted into the Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame. In 2015, he was honored with the AOPA President’s “Certificate of Appreciation”, in recognition of his “significant impact on the state’s aviation system”.
